Voici une interview de Neil Patrick Harris, postée le 21 Mai 2009 sur le site The Sudbury Star.
Q: Did you anticipate "How I Met Your Mother" giving you as strong, if not stronger, a television identity as "Doogie Howser, M. D." did?
A: I love that I've been blessed with multiple chapters (in career terms), and that I manage to continue working on varied projects. Along with the "Harold & Kumar" (movie) stuff, it's so fractured, yet better than I ever could have imagined. I hope people feel comfortable in my hands, that feel like they've grown up with me nearby.
Q: Do you see "How I Met Your Mother" as a modern variation on some classic TV series?
A: It's true. I'm just very jealous of Josh Radnor (alias Ted on the show) that he's essentially playing the Jack Tripper role from "Three's Company." Had I not had to "suit up" - to use one of the catchphrases from our show - I would have worked really hard to undo three or four buttons so I could be like Larry (another "Three's Company" character).
Q: Being a former child star who's now enjoying success as an adult, how has that impacted your professional outlook?
A: It's allowed me a little perspective and the ability not to rush things. I'm very happy with the understanding that this business will always exist. When you first start out as an actor and you get (a job), you feel like the candle's burning, and you have to turn it into a fire quick - and I didn't want to smoke myself out.
